Wondering the same thing myself. It says Horne picked up a knock so that makes sense but doesn't say why Crooks is missing.

Crooks was struggling with his ankle in the first half but he seemed to run it off, it's probably still a bit sore still so they won't risk him.

I was torn between Hadley and Whiting but in a knock out I would plump for experience.

I'm fine with that. Just a bit strange the article says Horne is missing due to a knock but doesn't say the same for Crooks.

Shame for Crooks as he had a very good game, after a disappointing start to the season. Looking forward to Rankin and Miller playing together.

Having Carvell and Paea back is a massive boost, 17 picks itself IMO, with Pitts and Hadley missing out.

Just seen Hock also plays, as much as people don't like him, he will be a massive threat if he plays, ripped us apart for Widnes last year.

I would go very similar but with Thompson in the second row due to form and Whiting on the bench. Rankin should come in to replace Horne but I have this horrible feeling we'll revert to using Azza in the halves for this one.

If we do I will be very disappointed in Radford and to be it shows that he isn't learning from his mistakes.

Whilst it wouldn't be my choice (Heremeia is best at hooker) and I would be disappointed I'm just wondering if Radders might be tempted to want some experience in the halves.

I think losing Horne might just swing the match in Salford's favour.

Chase wasn't allowed to dictate last Friday, but I've a feeling he'll do much better in the cup game.

Bad loss for us - having to change the halves after they performed so well last week is a serious blow.

It was inevitable Horne would get injured even Radford admitted as much before the season started.I hope he goes with Rankin/Miller and doesnt play Heremaia in the halves.Hopefully Rankin can grab his chance with both hands like Miller did last week.

The fact that the article says Horne is injured but is silent as to the reason for Crooks' omission suggests he has been dropped.

I wonder who will kick the goals? Whiting hasn't been getting much game time lately which suggests back to Westerman or perhaps Miller?

I hope Carvell is actually fit to play and his inclusion in the squad isn't kidology on Radford's part.

I doubt Lee Radford would want any players cup tied , but you might get beat , so it wouldn't matter .

You've got Carvell in twice. Replace one of the Carvell's with Watts and this is the line-up I would go with too.
