Heard fc have signed liam colbon?? Anyone else heard this?

Apparently he was seen at our training ground today but I haven't heard anything about a deal etc.

Bit of a strange one if true. He would be a decent signing if he is just there as wing cover, but do we really need to sign anyone else who is just purely going to be cover?

Would be a kick in the teeth for young Tom Stark.

Hope this is a sick joke. If we need cover get mcgoldrick. I would much prefer a youth team player given a chance. Also hope to have biggs soon too. Colborn never been a good player.

Why McGoldrick? He's not even a winger for starters. Although I agree on your other point, if injuries do take their toll I would rather give Tom Stark a chance tbh. Colbon is a decent player, but he wouldn't be first choice, so what's the point?

Realistically can't see Stark breaking into the team this campaign, great that Radders gave him some game time with the 1st team in the friendlies but think he is still 12 months away, barring injury crisis.

If Colbon rumour true, could be short term cover, especially if Biggs remains stuck at Bath until May (must be 3 weeks since we heard he will be here in a months time), whenever Biggs arrives he can't just be thown into a game, will take a couple of months to get up to speed

If the early form of Talanoa continues I don't see the need to play Biggs this year at all, barring injuries. Let him learn the game.

As mcgoldrick could cover at centre and push a faster player to the wing. Just saying rather have him than Colborn. Surely Doncaster would loan us a winger if in need. I think we have plenty of cover in the backs. Colborn just not required and not SL standard imo.

McGoldrick was a decent signing as cover a couple of years ago. People need to get over him now & move on. Surprised nobody has suggested Jamie Foster yet, he's another people can't seem to forget about.

Omari Caro's the quickest man in SL. As we were told ad infinitum this time last year. At least he's got some respite from being scapegoated after their extraordinary efforts at centre at the weekend.

On Colbon, it would be a most random signing. I guess Biggs and Crookes are some way off so we're already down to one winger plus a utility back on the other wing, so additional cover makes sense. I like Stark but wonder whether it's a bit too soon just yet.

I had discounted caro but just remembered that disco dave is injured so he may get a chance although I think it more likely that hall will play wing

Certainly a random signing but offers cover, I guess.

We may not see Biggs until April/May and then I would imagine he'll get a few weeks at Donny.

I really don't get this one. As someone said put Arundel on the wing if need be or a young one. I'm sure we could of coped. Is Coburn related to anyone at the club?

Colbon won't have to cost a fortune but still can't see us having the space for him and Carvell without anyone leaving.

Thought I read decent reviews about one of your youngsters who played in the friendly games, was it Stark? This signing seems like overkill.

First of all mcdonnell must have gone and getting two players on his salary is good business. I also think crookes will go.

We onky have two fit wingers at the moment, stark isnt ready and not sure he will ever be, I dont like moving players out of position, but I would have though it would have been better to have moved Arundel.

To be honest the misfit signings we have made have looked good so far, he is coming for the right reason.
