So I've seen on twitter that a group of fans are starting a singing section at the KC. What do you think? Will it work? I really hope it works and the atmosphere gets better! Could give our season a boost!

Ultimately the atmosphere is dictated by the players on the pitch. If they perform then so do the faithful. Given most seem to think we will finish next season in 6th (based on tweets I have seen) I suspect it will be as you were.

I'm sick of the "fathers gun" chant at every single game. What's the point when we're not playing them?

The atmosphere at the KC is sterile most weeks. Its hard to get songs going because by the time people pick up on them, they're ended.

Even "Old Faithful" just gets fragmented.

Been some great atmospheres at great games. Been some poor atmospheres at poor games!

Agree,all seater stadiums are atmosphere killers.

SMC at KC should put the seats they have in Germany what fold away so you can stand...maybe in certain areas of the stadium.

Anyone doing anything to create an atmosphere gets my vote. At the minute we've got two songs and absolutely nothing for any individual players. I much prefer away games but even them are going the same way

I've always wondered why you struggle to get an atmosphere going, times I have seen your lot at craven park you are pretty loud, yet at KC it's poor to say the least. I agree about all seaters, can knock craven park for a lot of things, but the noise it generates isn't one of them. Struggle with variety, or even funny chants, or people joining in really don't ya, strange.

I'd imagine the groups that get things going at away games are too spread out at the KC. One group starts singing and they're done before the group in the next block have really started up.

Old Faithful, Come on you 'ull, fathers gun and the odd "yeamo" are the only chants we ever sing.

We're a passionate group and being from hull we as a city are notoriously loud. So it does confuse me how unimaginative and boring our fans can be, particularly at home games.

While I agree that all seated stadiums can kill atmosphere, you also get stadiums like Anfield that are all seated yet known world wide for its unmatched atmosphere.

Really hope this "singing section" catches on and that it spreads right around the stadium, the noise we can generate could give the lads a good kick up the backside!

Yea but mostly at away games, then it faded when people realised he wasn't going to be our instant saviour! (Seriously he was put under way too much pressure to start with). Pretty confident Miller will have a belter of a season and deserve to have songs sung about him!

Can only really add One Shannon McDonnell and Whiting is Superman to those already mentioned.

All seaters are a requirement of the premier league, and more family friendly than grounds that are all standing, the FA/PL are in consultation at the moment about allowing some standing areas, but will the Council have the money (or inclination) to make any changes, I doubt it.

When I saw you had posted on this thread, I could have put a fair some of money wagering that you where moaning about something or other. Gets incredibly boring for the rest of us.

Arrr but standing areas will invariable increase the capacity and hence increase the revenue into the coffers. I am sure the council will find some inclination then

The best set of fans for singing anywhere in the world, for any team are undoubtably the England cricket team's Barmy Army. The singing is relentless regardless of the state of play in the game. They also have a song for each individual home player and several for opposing players too. If a new player is called into the team, a day or so is sat constructing a new song for him. We need some of that!!........

We need the team to stop being shat and the atmosphere will improve. A singing section is a non starter. Where would it be? How would you ensure only people who would sing would sit there? What about those who will sing but have reserved seats elsewhere? What about those who would sing but sit in other stands?

If there's anything to sing about people will sing

As long as you're not sat just in front of them.
