Sounds like Horney had a blinder today. Has he regathered his form or was it a one off?

Best game he's had for about 5 years! I have been a critic for a long-time but I can only applaud his performance today, it was like we were back in 2005/2006 when he was a GB international.

Having Holdsworth along side him doing the kicking (always been Horne's biggest flaw IMO) worked well, and I think he'll keep his place for Friday at least.

As I said I think a big difference was having Holdsworth alongside him doing the kicking and directing the team, leaving Horne to concentrate what he is good at finding gaps and broken field running.

I think he can, there was some-thing totally different about him from the last couple of seasons. He was like a young Horney with a lot of energy coupled with his experience, maybe he is fitter than he has been for a while and the pressure has been removed. I also thought he looked a bit more beefed up than he has the past couple of seasons.

Horney really was good today, even his kicking was spot on. With whats coming up next 2 games we really needed 2 points today and for the first time I questioned Peter Gentles team selection before the game. I was very happy to be wrong, he got it just right.

Great performance from Horne today but the big question is what time did he arrive at the stadium?

Maybe the competition for places has given him a wake up call with Seymour dropped. Lets hope he plays Friday at Saints and repeats his effort today.

the competition for places is greater than it has been in recent years, Tickle for example should find it hard to displace Green from the squad when he returns to fitness, whereas in other years he'd be selected on name alone.

He was a different player. I've not seen him have a game as good as that since he was playing with "he who shall not be named" in the side.

Horne was superb today, looked relaxed, linked up with Holdsworth well, deserves to keep his place for friday!

We have had this thread once a season for the last few years, he was excellent today and should keep his place for next week, but he needs to be this good consistently.

Tickle will just come in for Galea, he's hopeless

Sums it for me, i recall last year he had a stormer at fullback and today is deja vu.

He looked more relaxed today, DJ , Houghton and Heremia did all the organising and let Dicky run wide at 2nd or 3rd man, he didnt have to kick and played what i will call his natural game.

horney is the same as mcguire at the whinos, hes just needed the organisation around him and idont think hes had it since cookie n swain so hes took some flack in the past few years for the board not replacing the right players!!!

Horney wa s outstanding. He ran the angles and his side step was immaculate. If only he kept hold of the ball on a couple of occasions. Galea did the hard stuff, stop knpcking him. Never let us down and was always willing with his workrate. ffs

My heart sank when I heard Horne was playing at 7 but he had a stormer. Hope he can back it up and stay fit,
