Actually there are a few soft tissue injuries you can pick up. More likely to be a break though.

i've had several running based foot injuries to the tissues etc but these typically tend to manifest themselves the day after, especially when putting the foot down first thing in the morning

No. it can happen to anyone from any team. your not a special case. this is rugby league, its unfortunate but you have to deal with it.

Cheers for that. However, despite your concern, I know our injury woes have been particularly unlucky in the past 4-5 years. The biggest signing in the league, returning to his old club as our captain, seemed typical of our injury curse!

Anyway, hope he's ok but I fear the worst. Gentle said their was a possibility they could have jabbed him up but chose not too.

Tbf there is clearly a strong correlation between age of signings and frequency of injuries.

EDIT: Had ankle injury in 2011, but still played 18 games. Hardly injury prone.

Kind of works in line with what I said about age. As he's aged he's missed large chunks of seasons consistently whereas he wouldn't have had these problems as a younger man.

not really no menzies ,peacock,lynch,morley,briers, would lend weight to my theory. all ages get injured, end of.

If you don't think you get injured more with age why do you think players retire in their 30s?
It's a commonly accepted fact that with age comes injuries.

So why don,t warrington get more injuries than everyone else,they have easily the oldest squad and why haven't any of the players i mentioned earlier retired yet
