| Was the performance at Odsal the best ever Hull FC performance?
13 tries, only concede one, away from home. Played some very expansive stuff and other than the first two minutes, never looked like letting anything in.
Only other performance which compares is the semi final win over St Helens in 2005.

| It was a great result but no way our greatest ever performance.
The Saints semi win was against the best team in the country, Bradford tonight were truly awful.

| Agreed, Bradford were V poor.
It's the first time is years I can recall not drop the intensity and absolutely take the opposition to the cleaners.

It was a great win but far from our greatest ever performance, let's enjoy it but not get carried away.

Hence the ? At the end of the opening line of the opening post.
There were not that many unforced errors (not that many forced to be fair), not many missed tackles and out attacking play was varied and effective.
The St's Semi in 2005, Leeds at home in 2002 and the premiership final in 1991 spring to mind as better against better teams?

| We've actually put a team to the sword tonight. Killed a game off utterly for the first time in years without letting the other team get within 12 points. Gentle must have really stung them after the Widnes game.
What made it for me was the passion, the rush to high-five and the spirit when a tackler forced an error. That's what wins games.

| The Saints semi at Huddersfield would have to win the one from recent memory.
We went in to that one with not a hope in hell, treating it as our day out cup final. And then did a very thorough job on a spectacularly good Saints team.

| The narrow defeat against the Aussies has to be the best because of the opposition. This was good but miles from being the best ever.

Only if you consider spending the 1st 20 minutes lamping anything above grass, as being a great all-round performance

Good shout.
That was the game which made everyone realise that Brian Smith was the real deal.

I watched that game recently on YT. It was a good defencive performance, and a Coddy indicated, the Hull pack very much tried to soften up the aussie.
Check out the number of unforced errors when we had ball in hand.

| As enjoyable as it was, it can't really be classed our greatest performance due to the standard of the opposition. There have been any number of games against top class teams which supercede last night (most of which have already been mentioned).
One question though, was last night the biggest away victory in the club's history in terms of the scoreline?

| Battering Warrington in the play offs with John's over for his payday was a sensational performance IMO
Leeds at home this season wasn't too shabby either
I don't remember too much of the Invincibles game first hand but have watched it back numerous times it was one of the best performances ever.
given how we had Skerrett out & replaced with a fairly old Mick Harrison (who more than held his own btw) and Bridges wasn't exactly a mobile hooker compared to Wileman we nearly embarressed them
Saints semi in 2005 for me is the most complete performance though

| Agree about the Saints semi and treating. It as our cup final as I thought we'd get mullered.
My fave game was against L**ds in the early eighties. It was a night match and they came to the Boulevard having won their first seven league fixtures, sitting proudly at the top of the table and we shafted them. Lee Crooks got a hat trick IIRC, Kemble, Leuluai, O'Hara and some bloke called Schofield tore them apart. It was either 35-0 or 35-5 and that was when a try was only 3 points. I remember Harry Gration banging on about it on Look North the night after, he loved Hull FC then.

Oh yeah, forgot about that one, absolutely stuffed them and you were right on the 35-5 scoreline, we did them at their place 20-0 too
