thought both did well,took the ball up very well and look dangerous,think the back 3 of tompkins hall and briscoe can be englands for many years, must admit thought briscoe would go clear when he stripped the ball 2nd half,mannering is only a 2nd rower even though i believe he played centre 2night,all in all well done lads and well done england,

Surprised Briscoe was caught by Mannering, although it was a blessing in disguise as they would have gone back and had a look at the 2 or 1 strip and it would have been chalked off.

maybe thats why he slowed down



seriously though, watching from the upper west, mannering only had to come across where briscoe had to go full length

Briscoe is just a legend and we need to use the extra cap to safeguard his future at hull fc and in rl.

I thought Kirk Yeaman was solid tonight without being spectacular, whereas Tom Briscoe was very good. We really do need to sign him up for life.

Kirk played a blinder tonight, and I hope Macca keeps him in alongside Brisc for the rematch versus the Ozzies. I also hope he carried this into his games when he plays for the FC as I also have been one who thinks Hull would have had more tries last season if he'd passed to his winger instead of trying to go himself. He's a very good centre who could be the top try-assist player in 2012 as well as being one of the try scorers too. Good on you Kirk, keep up the good work......grannyfan Cindy

Happy with both, Yeamo was solid, Briscoe apart from an initial error was very very good.

Just cos i thought brisc was faster than that

He might be, he might have took a knock or been heavily involved in the previous defensive and attacking sets, he might have had to run further than Mannering, he might have realised he stole the ball in a 2 on 1 and slowed down, he might just not be that quick but I wouldn't swap him for anyone.

Briscoe is very quick, but not necessarily a flyer. His main speed asset is his acceleration.

And his power in the collision.

Briscoe is definately an international winger and yet people still moan...what does the lad have to do to please you???

I thought the back three (Briscoe, Hall and Tomkins) were very good, they all carried the ball well and took a lot of weight off the forwards shoulders.

All i said is i thought he would of been quicker than mannering, maybe he was tired or had a knock or the lights were in his eyes or whatever. Im not denying that hes a quality player who played very well.

We thought Briscoe was limping in the run up to his break.

Both Hull lads played awesome last night...
As people have said Yeamo would have shut a few people up and also gutted I couldnt be bothered to put my 1st try scorers on...

We (England) have got a solid back 5 now. Hall gets better, Reed looks the part already, and Yeamo and Briscoe were great last night.
