Obst at 6 is quite a good option i would have thought but he wont use him there, he will have him on the bench covering 9

Exactley he's only saying what most fans say that if a player misses games through injury/suspension then they shouldnt just walk back in to the team if the player in their position has played well.

I'd be more disappointed if Longy demanded his place.

Alot things deserve criticism this season but this is not one of them.

6 from round 14 to round 19 last year. Starting with Catalans away and finishing with Catalans at home. Interestingly we won 9/14 games that Longy played last year. We've won 1/5 this year.

My thoughts are that Long is our BIG £££ signing who has had 2 match rest. His temp replacement has concussion.

The official website said Long's abscence was the reason we lost , Agar bemoaned Long's abscence.We pay Long a fortune and Obst couldn't get us going v Dragons in our last match.

Now if Agar plays Long and we lose then Long says ' told you not to pick me above Obst'

To me it smacks of the lack of disciplne at the Club. Players shouldn't be saying don't pick me , they should be saying PICK ME AS I JUST WANT TO PLAY IN EVERY GAME !!

This really should be done internally and a player volunteering NOT TO PLAY ????

Couldnt care less if Long ever played for us again, big money signing that has failed miserably, we want players who want to be here who want to play for the club and are not just here for the money.
If he does play Friday lets hope he performs a little better than his invisible man performance in last seasons play off game!

Long is in a no win situation with some people.
"If he had said "Now I am back I should play instead of Obst." he would have got exactly the same reaction.

Was thinking that earlier - Long and Obst in the halves. Whiting on the bench for Westerman?

Horne off the bench maybe? Could cover 9 or play 6 and allow Obst to move. Might provide some pace in the middle of pitch when defences are tiring.

would be my choice. No reflection on Turner who was by all accounts one of our better players in France but I see Whiting as the better wing option and Turner covers plenty of positions from the bench as Whiting would have. FWIW listening to Agar tonight on Blunderside I reckon he might just drop Horne - he alluded to the fact that it wasn't that difficult to make changes this week after some of the performances in France.

I did think of that as an option but if Horne is as far out of form as people have been saying maybe Whiting is the better shout? Although he hasn't been pulling up any trees recently either I guess.

I see Turner as the same really. The other option is to play Lyne there again - don't think he'll bring Sharp back this week.
