Why's he only just sent his Visa??

Presumably because the signing only actually happened fairly recently. Not sure about that bit myself but you can't apply for a visa without the employer confirming the job offer through the "certificate of sponsorship", so if the deal wasn't done, FC wouldn't have been able to issue that. Once done, he can apply for the visa

True but he accepted the contract offer 10 days ago. I should have thought he would have been a bit quicker off the mark in getting his application in.

I've probably got the wrong end of the stick but the way i read it was the visa had been issued and he was waiting to recieve it.

Where have you read this i have seen nothing on the net anywhere.

Looks like he's only just been able to do his biometrics and submit the documents. A lot of the delay will be due to getting an appointment for biometric capture.

He had to re-apply on a Tongan passport, due to our failed attempts to get Galea off quota. Could be days, could be weeks, but there's no point crying over spilled milk, I guess.

So what Andy Mowbray told me is wrong then that he was refused a visa on his Aussie passport

Thought he said last week that he had it sent off and it would take 5-10 days to come back to him? In the HDM, I think.

I would say so as, how i understand it, if he has been refused entry then he won't be allowed in regardless of nationality!!

He's a director at rovers m8, was a bit surprised he actually took the job considering he's been an fc fan all his life but needs must when your been made redundant used too work for hull forward

Rovers directors seem to have been coming out with a variety of stories in private. Not sure if everyone knows the details TBH.

Anyway - not our problem. Hopefully Phelps will have a straightforward application process and get here quickly.
