What does it mean to you to beat Rovers ?

Does it make your year ? Does it makes you dance for joy, reach for a kebab, make love to the ... ?

And what's it like losing to the old enemy ?

Do you kick the cat, reach for a stack of kebabs ?

We want to hear from you in 10 to a maximum of 50 words on just what it means to you beating and losing to your fiercest rivals.

What could possibly go wrong with an idea like this?

It means 2 points or progression in the cup. I get as much joy from beating Leeds/Saints/Wigan then I do from beating Rovers. I know a lot of my friends and relatives don't feel the same way though.

To be honest the best atmosphere our stadium has seen for many years is when we beat Saints last year, I reckon it had a lot to do with the come back, but we had achieved the double on Saints...It was rocking

Yeah was definitely the best atmosphere last season that game. The Rovers games tend to have a bit more singing but overall the buzz during that 2nd half against Saints was electric.

The singing, that reminds me of the 2 old godgers we had the other season on the Good Friday...

T.B.H. the good thing about beating Rovers is you don`t get it in the neck from their supporters,and you don`t have to listen to them harping on about beating us for the next twenty years.
I would sooner get a result against Saints or Wigan.

Put it this way....if someone said to me before the season starts.....you will win the Grand final but you will lose to Rovers home and away,Id snap his hand off....id sooner be shining the Grand final trophy than shining my c0ck with my right hand like the inbreds over the river do after beating us...beating us is the bee all and end all of everything.

The best bit about winning is the peace and quiet on here, because some of their fans really cannot take winning graciously. (not saying that all our guys are perfect, either)

They should put this one in the match programme.

Means nothing to me too other than 2 points. if we win i dont do the whole taking the mickey at work or with friends thing either... Would much rather beat 1 of the bigger teams

should be just another win however to most players and fans its everything!!

i enjoy beating rovers much more than beating anyone else it, i cant wait to get to work after a derby win to take the p'ss all day, losing is a b,stard tho. its great to beat the likes of saints too, but nothing (except trophy success) is as good as beating rovers.

I don't agree. The most memorable games in the last few seasons, generally, have been against Saints for me. The 27-26 at Knowsley Road in 2006 , the semi final against Saints, and the 2 games last season will live far longer in the memory for me than the 44-18 game, (other than Briscoe's try

). I always look for the Leeds games, home and away, first when the fixture list comes out. Derbies are to be endured rather than enjoyed and generally the standard of rugby is not great.
