noticed hutchies post in the westerman thread where he jokingly (i hope) said radford could play at 6. just wondered who is the worst example of a player who has been played in the wrong position, maybe forced through injury or a bold selection gamble that backfired.
i'll nominate fili seru the (ahem) flying winger from 1998/9 who was played at a cup game at salford at stand off - oh dear, i felt a tonking coming on in that game and wasn't wrong

Stephen Kearney.....apparently interrupted his european holiday to actually turn up and play in about 6 matches for us at 13.

Kearney was very good for us, Ok he wasn't the player he was in his younger days but his defence and workload was excellent, no different from Fitzgibbon this season and look how good he has been.

I remember Colin Best at FB away at Widnes one game, he had a shocking, FB wasn't a good position for him.

agreed, complete mess he was....i actually felt sorry for the guy at cas away when he was hauled off by andy last after about 20 mins...and then his shambolic performance vs hudds at the kc afew weeks later......bugger me that was a bad showing from him...

forgot about king at hooker in his early days, so i guess i meant when he got switched to hooker after playing prop for a while think he only got switched for 1 game? remember him blowing like mad and not long into the game chucking up. That was probably the same day he beat me back to charleston club after the game

Sorry, absolutely no comparison between Kearney and Fitz.

Fitz is in the same league as Peter Sterling....Kearney = Berrigan (can only be d to play when it suits them and no one else)....obviously just my opinion of course.
