At half time why did Agar not take Washbrook off and play Nicklas for 40 mins? Incomprehensible really, unless Nicklas really isn't seen as a long term solution.

At 30 nil we should have stuck another 40 without reply on them.

At 30 nil up we went into half time.
during that half time BM will have torn the emulsion off the walls with his charges and we were happy and content.
second half comes and they mount a charge and have changed a few things on the pitch , line speed, play the ball etc which caused us a few issues for 20mins then they ran out of steam again and we then moved up a gear and finished the game off.
Not rocket science just a decent score with some great rugby momenterally halted by a fightback with pride from the Quins!!
bask in the sunshine of a great win against our bogey team but dont look for dark clouds in a match where there aint any !!

That sounds like what would've happened at half time against wigan!!! Oh no, sorry it didn't. We came out and played the same e as the half before. with a margin of 30 points maybe nicklas should have been on before he was and fitzy should've been replaced aswell on his 1st game back.

I'm not looking for a dark clouds, that was the first time i've seen us win down there since they played at the Valley and I was more than happy. My point is two fold, one I don't think Nicklas can be held in that high a regard if he still can't get half a game in circumstances like that. Two, teams like Saints/Leeds/Wigan wouldnt even contemplate playing 2 non half backs together, they would play the reserve player in that position.

The comments about resting forwards is irrelevant to my post. Hull FC's problem is half back and won't be addressed (in my opinion) by decisions, or non-decisions as the case was here, like that by our coach.

Have to say I would have taken Fitz off and moved Washy to LF and given Nicklas a run in the halfs. If it wasn't working you can always change it back.

Maybe if the game was in the bag with 20 minutes Agar would have brought Nicklas on but anything can happen in Rugby League. Not saying that Quins could come back and win the game but as someone said earlier Quins were never going to give and let's say they came out and got to within one score of Hull would certain fans see it as an oppurtunity to lay into an 18 year old and already write him off as being not good enough ? It's good to see Reece Lyne given another chance and it sounds like he had a solid game and was probably better for the experience he had gained playing against Salford. After the Salford game I was disappointed with some of the critisism he recieved, for God's sake he is only 17 yet he is prepared to carry the ball in to tackles in one of the most physical sports on the planet. Don't think the people who were critisising him would be up for that.

I agree with Fitz we should have played him for the 1st 10, and with the game still been 30-0 he should have been given a breather and given Nicklaus a chance

And thats why you are happy with second place mediocrity. Look at Udders, 36 nill at HT, and Wakey with Kear, a better coach than BM, collapse and let almost 60 in.

The simple fact is there are 10 teams in SL who would have nailed 60 on sat. Thats why we are 400 points behind the team next to us

But Quins were hardly going to come out the 2nd half (after their coach no doubt spanked them)..and not improve, they put in a game for 30 mins and we hit back for the last 10...

Agree.....however no Fitz, O'Meley or Tickle, and if I be honest I thought the ref killed us in the first 20 and then their heads went down...

But I agree a poor performance, the good news is we bounced back.
