I thought once again Cusack offered very little against a poor Castleford team.

When Radford returns, we keep Moa and give him more game time to impress with what I see as givin us much more agression than Cusack.

Nope.....dont think I did.

If we are to progress through this season, then players aka Radford, whiting, horne, berrigan, dowes and more are genuinely progressin each match we play....Cusack is not.

As he has all season. Doesn't stop at least one person calling for him to be dropped every week though.

Before he came here i asked Sean Mcrae what he thought of the Yak and his reply was that he was solid and does all the little things right that a lot of people dont notice but greatly enhance the team

Me too, hit really hard in defence and always went forward. Would definately keep him for the Wigan game.

Not really. The people posting on here are a tiny percentage of the fan base, and although these threads are regular they are typically not well received. All it proves is that a vociferous handful of folk don't rate Cusack.

I agree. Cusack always offers us a huge go forward and in defence he is massive for us. His size means that we only need 2 into a tackle and not 3 etc. All the small things that win games. I think we'll rotate out props as we go but the stick that Cusack takes for doing the basics right that we need it ott imo.

Yak is never going to stand out, but as has been pointed out it's the little things he does that make him effective. He's never gunna put big hits on in defence or skittle defenders in attack, but what he is going to do is wrestle well to stop the opposition getting a quick PTB, and always find his knees and elbows allowing Berrigan to get on the front foot and the other forwards rolling.

My thoughts are the poor sod can`t do right in some peoples eyes.

As much as I like Yak that is just simply not true.

He didn't rip up any trees but he didn't do much wrong either .

Does he not make between 7 and 10 metres per carry and take 3 or 4 men to tackle him? I'd call that a huge go forward.

He is currently averaging 6 meters per carry

My thoughts are .... that you obviously didnt go to the match as Cussack is our one true constant performer alongside Fitz.
very rarely does anything wrong, saps the opposition strength , makes decent yards and buries everything that runs at him...
what more do you want??

Seriously though, whether the guy makes 4, 6 or 8 metres per carry his size makes him a real handful and defensively he hurts people when he hits them. I think his go forward and the fact that he seems to be good at landing on his elbows for a quicker ptb if we're allowed makes him a better go forward prop than some give him credit for. What do i know though, i rate Radders as a good prop too.

I was simply pointing out that Yak does not offer us a "huge go-forward." I also stated that I like Yak but lets not go over stating what he actually does

Do you really have to dis everybody who has a different opinion to you. Cussack is solid as, but thats just my opinion.
