Yeap very good display alround by everyone. Horne a bit quiet but good try near the end. Turner looked solid at 7.

Question is... will Tansey walk back into the team? How much will Agar want to dicipline him? He could legitimately play Whiting there again and put Tansey on the bench to show him he has to fit and be 100% motivated all of the time?

On another note: I dont see how their try could stand? Full control with the point of an elbow while sliding along the ground?

This lying on at the play of the ball that Quins where allowed to do, is that going to be rugby now? If so I might suit us more when playing fast teams like Saints and Leeds but is it going to be consistant?.

Fantastic team effort and thought some of the plays were fantastic. The inside balls turned Quins inside out tonight.

Credit where credits due to Agar but ffs lets give Moa a chance.

it will be hard for that if the team continue playing like they did tonight and not pick up any injuries.

There is no point in trying to shoehorn him in IMO. The pack is working well atm so don't change it, we will however have injuries at some point or someone will go off the boil and Moa will get his chance.

Not calling for Rich out but i take nothing from tonight, Harlequins worst team i have seen in super league for years.

Harsh, as although they weren't great, I have seen a lot worse sides and yes they weren't great and we dominated them. I dont we are a team that are going to score 40,50+ points but we dont win our games by out scoring the opposition.

It should have, and nearly was a "nil" tonight. Thats how we win games.

Although Quins were bad, I think much of it was down to us making them look bad. Kick and chase, speed of defence were very good

I agree, worst since Leigh at the KC IMO, even Crusaders offered more in attack last season on their visit. Their team is very small, it was hard to tell who was a forward and who was a back from a distance..everyone was of average build.

Agar made the correct decisions in light of the squad he had available...however I feel even Thorman would have looked good against that Quins side...and Cas will be a much tougher test

Harsh, ask Wigan an they played a better side than Harleqiuns. Said before the season began half backs not good enough to challenge top 4

How do we win them then?

Thought it was disjointed tonight and impossible to gauage if we were any good or if they were just dire. Worst london/quins team I can remember . Can see thsi being the death knell of the game in the capital if they don't do something quick.

Certainly nothing on show tonight for any Hull fan to suddenly think we're top 4 material again

out defending, but you're right its early early days yet but I still think we are in a better position than last year by miles.

Without sliding into some form of parallel universe, could you please explain how we beat a team by out-defending them, without out-scoring them?

Agar has come through his first big test, fair play to him.

There is no way Moa should be anywhere near the team at the moment, I know this may upset his fan club on here but the way the 4 props are playing at the moment, non of them deserve dropping, their defence is one of the reasons we are playing so well.

I think Moa will only get his chance if Agar drops one of the second rowers and moves Radford to SR cos I can't see Agar dropping any of the props anytime in the near future unless they are injured.

Take a Saints team (of old) they are often involved in big scoring games they dont need to concentrate so much on defending as they put so much into attack, they outscore their opponents.

I reckon Hull wont often get 30/40 + points in games but concentrate more on defence grabbing points when they can not letting teams score as freely as they are used to hence us winning as we have seen so far this season. Defence based.

Quite a simple theory i thought.....

To be fair every week is going to be a test, look what happened last week. Was saying to my mate on the way out of the game that maybe last week was a blessing in disguise and it stopped us getting to far up our own jacksees.
Thought the team defended really well and took most of the chances that we had. Still thought on a couple of sets in their twenty we still lacked dummy runners and just seemed to ship the ball for the sake of shipping the ball.

Good win, but they are utter gash. Agar proves nothing tonight.

He never does when he wins, yet when he loses people slaughters him. They were poor but we did a good number on them with key players missing.

no slaughter on agar from me, and I never have slaughtered him. But nothing proved.

Bounced back from a loss, dropped our best player last week for a discipline issue and had to blood a young player in the halves. Not to mention only one try conceded which was a dubious one.

I'd say he has had a good week.

Yup, we won. He had a good week. But let's face it, he has not really proved that much has he. I hope we and agar succeed, and will go to every game with that thought in mind. That said, quins are shocking and we should be beating them. i'll keep my judgement of agar in reserve, on ice for now.
