According to a report in one of todays up market newspaper Chris Thorman was alleged to have mouthed something to the jeering Hull fans as he was substituted yesterday.

I noticed this, and i think a bit was aimed at the Cas fans as well. He certainly wasn't happy when he came off.

All a bit pathetic really......OK....So Thorman doesn't totally fit the bill, but he does have a team around him as well. I can immagine Craig Hall thinking "I hope Widnes give me a deal". It wasn't that long ago that he was the target for the boo-boys. I'd have flicked the friggin v's too if I were Thorman. He is doing what he is paid to do.....He isn't SL standard......But he is doing his best! Geordies don't do Rugby League...it seems

I spoke to Chris after the game and he looked like a man who had had his heart ripped out. I have been one of his boo boys ,if you like, but the way he was treat by our management on Sunday was dreadful and amateur! The guy is not good enough at this level, we all know that, but he does try and he cares. What about our so called heroes who are supposedly good enough? Do they care or even try?? I don't think!

You were stood in front of me Wolf and i didn't see it. And if you did, can you be sure it was aimed at the Hull fans? Even you must realise that we have boys doing a mans job when it comes to managing the team! Agar as has been said "nice guy ...not a SL coach".

I sort of felt like that about him. Can you imagine the pressure on him, knowing himself that he is performing poorly, and knowing that the fans think he is performing poorly, yet still being forced to start by our clueless coach?

Maybe we should send him on loan to Gateshead?

the thing with Thorman is he's usless at everything

Matt Head for example, was so injured he coulden't train, wasn't the fastest, and had to be moved to the centres because his defence was so bad...but crucially he had a good attacking game, so we could see what he contributed to the team.

Thorman manages to be unable to defend well, be slow and offer nothing in attack. He makes no contribution what so ever.

No matter who you have playing at 7, nobody would be good in this team. Nobody can do anything without runners and options.

There was a point during the game were I got slightly annoyed after Thorman missed yet another tackle and yelled: "For God's sake Thorman! You can't pass, you can't kick, and you can't tackle! Why the hell are you a rugby player?!" so I know exactly what you mean!

Yet he still keeps getting picked. There was a point were he actually made a few yards in one run, and I turned around to my brother and said "oh look, Thorman actually did something alright there", then turned around and he'd knocked on trying to get back up.



But this is what happens if you keep playing players that aren't in form, expecting them to suddenly turn it around. This is why I can't understand the people that thought we should have persisted with Craig Hall. Hall might come back from Widnes a much more confident player now, whereas if we'd have kept playing him we'd have had another Thorman.

Thorman isn't even looking for the options, and any slight hope of a fast attack is killed off when he gets the ball and plods sideways.

and whilst it would be hard for Andrew Johns in his prime to be a success in this team, Thorman could be alleviating the pressure by at least having a good kicking game and allowing us to make meters that way

since berro has moved to 7, he has realised is only option is to run with it. He is a world class player, and he must get very frustrated.

I think Thorman was well within his rights to have to have a go back at the supporters, if you cant take it dont give it, he trys his best he just isnt good enough to do the job he his asked to, personally I would much rather save my bile for the people who actually thought that he he could do a job and brought here, and who persist on playing him week in and week out, eg dumb and dumber.
