Was a great player in his day and will be a great role model for the youngsters at the club. Not sure what he will bring to the club on the field at this stage of his career though.

Do you guys see this as a positive signing? He's a great player, but getting on a bit now...

Poor signing in terms of longevity and the long term needs of the club. I just dont understand your recruitment policy?!?!? "He's a "name", he'll do". Im speaking as a RL fan here to, not as a Rovers fan.

Fitzgibbon is a highly respected and experienced forward.

You have to ask if we need a second rower who hits 33 next June, although his fitness record is pretty good.

I was just going to say the same. I get the feeling that not too much research goes into the black and whites signings. Who knows, he might turn out ok.

TBH its another aussie coming over here to collect a pay day before retirement. I don't doubt he may be a role model for our younger players (q: does that mean we don't have any now?) and will give 100% but 100% of the 2010 version of Fitzgibbon will not be a patch on the 2000-2004 version...

Not doubting the guy is a excellent player and probably role model,but assuming Luaki makes the grade why would we need another back rower?
The recruitment policy at this club is a complete joke.

Having followed the club now for almost 40 years I have seen some inept directors and officials but this current lot are totally clueless.

Will support the team through thick and thin as always but the current decision makers at the club are really testing the patience of fans
