That's the big difference between us and the rest of the SL, we seem happy to dawdle up in defence and gift teams valuable metres.

Not to mention the lethargic way we deal with kicks both from an attacking and defending point of view, the only time we got enthusiasm with ball in hand was with Thacks and Kingy on the pitch and that helped raise us in defence also but it's no good this happening if those players are only going to do 40 minutes between them.

It's not even a question of talent. When you kick on the last you CHASE the ball. How hard can it be??

Thing is though we was earlier in season...what has changed all that.

Kick chase was pathetic at times today. Effort was better but still not for 80 minutes.

It was the outstanding feature of our first few games IMO.

The loss of the dressing room by the boss and the obvious lack of respect the players have for him due to his lack of ability. IMHO

Everything on this thread is exactly what i have been saying.

We are not showing the enthusiasm and commitment we showed in the first 5 games.

We haven't done for 4 games now but then some say we are over reacting

The surprising thing for me is , Just how quickly this seems to have happened.

We didn't do that much different in the first 5 games. The big difference was that we were fresh after a good pre-season and the players were full of spirit, confidence and enthusiasm but this can only take you so far. It only takes couple of defeats and all of that spirit fades away and we are left with the basic facts that we have an average squad with a less than average coach

We still had a lack of quality in the squad but all of those things mentioned above and a little bit of luck were the difference between winning and losing.

The fact still remains that we have a mid-table squad and that will be reflected in the SL table after 27 games.

What worried me the most was how long it took us to get really fired up in the biggest game of the season!

The only urgency now is to get rid of Agar.

But Sharp needs to go with him because having him in charge would be no better.

They all have to go....a complete clearout of coaching staff.

You see it that way. I see it differently.

I firmly believe we have the players good enough to be challenging near the top IF they show the effort and commitment required. They did in the first 5 games. Just look at the tries we scored in those games again and we had players backing up and supporting each other.

They are not doing that now.

We haven't been beaten by teams with better quality. We have been beaten by teams with more commitment.

It was the same last season and it's starting again this season

Effort alone is not enough. We have an embarrassing lack of quality in crucial parts of our squad. It is just not possible to have 17 players giving 110% effort and playing to their full potential for 27 games.

Quality is the difference between the middle and the top of SL and that is why we will finish in the middle.

thats what worried me aswell Wilf, how they couldnt be ar$ed and especially in a derby is beyond me.
