i bought my cousin 2 adult tickets and 2 child for £24 for the family stand not a bad birthday present haha

yeah i know i'm a rovers fan and my mate who i work with told me to post it on here because he dont have an rlfans account but the offer ends at midnight tonight.

This has to be the daftest thing FC have ever done. Groupon take 50% of all takings so FC will only get £12 from each set sold. Who on earth have they gone through a 3rd party when they could've got 100% by selling themselves??!!

I can only assume its an attempt to get families who don't usually go to RL to give it a go and try to get them interested.

You're missing my point. I think the £24 family ticket deal is amazing, I just don't understand why the club would go through Groupon and give up 50% of the takings. I'm sure they could advertise the deal in other ways that would cost less.

I think they're just trying it out, remember they have been struggling commercially Karen.

I hope it comes off, I'm sure they've looked into advertising and maybe £12 per offer ticket is a pretty cheap way of advertising to a wider audience. They usually use the Quins game to do an offer so it makes sense if you look at it like that.

The gates have been low with less people paying on the day, so yes advertising the offer through our traditional channels would have worked. However, you have to praise the club at attempting to target the wider audience rather than taking an easy win.

They've only advertised it today and the offer ends today, that's madness IMO. I was going to go with my mate, brother and his mate but we weren't sure if we could all go so aren't bothering. I'll probably still go to the game but there will be 3 other people they've missed out on who don't normally go.

How is it "madness"? It's about promotion and advertising and reaching a new audience.

From what I can see, Groupon's deals are always 24 hours one, not just the Hull one.

How do we know Hull won't do their own similar deal?

If it brings new people in that's surely a good thing?

Indeed, in fact I have sometimes gone to buy a deal as soon as the email has come through and it's already been sold out!!! Hopefully this will happen today because whatever cut between FC/Groupon it's a great way of opening it up to others who might not normally be aware of such deals.

125 sets of tickets bought today - just 80 mins left on this one.

Deal is available again, it does however state that it is north stand only... surely cannot be right.

The club have housed special offer ticket holders there before.

If that's the case, after selling over 130 sets so far, there will be more in the North than the East
