Will we beat them and if so, by how many? Form goes out of the window for the Hull derbies but now we have a coach building us into a good determined team can we overcome them even with the missing players and can we rely on our defence to tire their big pack.
I'm also pleased Morgan will play no part in Rovers prep for the game as he always seemed to know how to beat us.

wish i could join in with the perditions, but this time (just like every derby) my gut is telling me nothing. but it goes with out saying id take any win.

i must say that in part i agree with mrs barista, too many first teamers out combined with the fact we are due a loss. so as always when ever the scum come to pi$$ on our bon fire, all i can do is cross my fingers.

just hope their fans behave better than they did at Cas. but they are welcome to carry on like they did at Wolves when they beat each other up....lol

Never confident in derbies they just seem to want it little bit more than us and always seem to play their best stuff against us.

That's because they have no other goal in the season.

It will be tough with our injuries, hopefully McKinnon and Yeamo back will help. Not in a position to make any predictions just yet, see how the week goes

Games are usually won up front and with our injuries I feel Rovers pack will dominate, on the back of that they have a halfback who can capitalise on that with his passing, running and kicking. Form is something you can forget about in these games, Rovers always seem that bit more enthusiastic for the derbies too.

That said we have a resilience about us these days and have key players that do long minutes and should also have a couple of players back. Factor in home advantage and the fact we are full of confidence and we have a game I really can't call.

I think there will be less the an 6 in it, maybe a 1 point game, maybe a draw. Right now I would probably back a Rovers win, just!



Note: Rumour has it Dobson is only 50/50 at best to play, if he doesn't then we win. Also Galea might well play some minutes in the game.

That could be because the last few seasons with had the coach with the ability and personality of a wet lettuice!!

Hopefully Hull will be just as fired up for this one and we will beat them, still think it's a difficult one to call but i recokon FC to edge it by 6-8 points!

Will go either way. The =#FF0000not that word - Chris have as many players as we have out so thats levelled. They do get more fired up for this than our lads for some reason, maybe its cos they get to play in a superb stadium so close in proximity to their own hovel. Can you imagine how it must feel on their bus travelling across the city to our place going from the ridiculous to the sublime. I know I`d be fired up in their shoes.

Too hard to call, I would love the 2 points but more importantly I would love to carry on seeing bits of improvement like we are, still a way to go though to hit our straps.
Out of the 2 games at Easter getting the 2 points at Huddersfield would be more gratifying, and probably the 2 that will affect us more in the long run.

I think their pack size and the reduced interchange rule is the reason they fall away in the last quarter of games. They are big, but are they fit?

This will be Gentle and Sandercocks first derby, so it will be the players in both camps ensuring they know the importance of this one. As has been mentioned, Morgan understood the feeling for this fixture locally, I got the feeling that Agar never did.

Regarding Dobson, I doubt there is anything wrong with him. If you got told this on Sunday, you did know what the date was didn't you

I have been around the block too many times to try and call these games.

It's the Morgan factor that makes me feel we should take control of the game when their forwards tire. Had Morgan still been the coach then I would be calling a Rovers win. I hope he never left Sandy his game plan in the safe, mind you having said that, that was when Agar was at the helm. Gentle knows what he's doing and will have done his home work with Radders.

Yes the upper tier is open, we asked the ticket office on Friday night when we got our tickets. So expecting at least 21000 I'd say.

With our current problems in the front row I can't see us winning both games over Easter and Hudds away would have been very tough regardless. Personally I'd go all out for a derby win then rest some for the Hudds game and come back strong for the Challenge Cup game. If we can contain them up front then I can only see one winner but I'm slightly concerned our lack of size could cost us.
