Thought last night showed just how bad we are. But a few players can go into training with there heads held high.

Thackray - Quality go forward, yes he got done for the last try but did anyone else look like they caused the Leeds defence any trouble on a regular basis like he did. Ran hard everytime he got the ball, definitely worth another contract on that performance.

Radford - He's got his critics but he doesn't really miss tackles, runs hard, works his socks off, even set up a try from a kick and scored one himself.

Berrigan I thought was pretty good but you'd hope that he would be as our 'star' player. But credit to him for keeping going it must be frustrating to be surrounded by such averageness.


As for Thorman - One of the worst performances I have ever seen in a Hull shirt in over 20yrs of watching this club

Passing mention for Tony and Raynor whoi hadn't played for nearly a year and yes I would agree with that.

Our best two players at times which after being out for months and months says a lot for the rest!!!!

Been like that all season. What frustrates me is that Agar goes on about Moa and gametime, but he could have played the last 15 as we were never going to win from that point. Leeds brought a back rower on for a back, just to use up their subs!

Motu and Berrigan were fantastic under the circumstances, Raynor was trying a bit too hard and looked frustrated, understandable for a player who always gives 100% and has been out for so long.

Another positive is that we don't have to go there again this season.......

Maybe Agar had given up, just like the majority of his players.

Thought a real positive last night was the work of our pack. They consistently made good yards and i lost count of the times Sinfield had to put a 5th tackle kick in from inside his own 40 metres. Issue for me is the mistakes putting us under pressure and our lack of creativity when gaining good field position.

Thackray was very good, as were Radford and Tickle. Tommy Lee sures us up massively when on the field too.

Berrigan was average at best last night particuarly in the first half! you watch his play the ball speed compared with Houghtons, we looked so much better when he was off the field last night paricuarly in the 1st half.

What Berrigan does from dummy half is pick the ball up and then pass it, leaving the first receiver with not much time, space or anything! There was one occasion were he did it to Thorman which really stuck in my mind, on the last tackle he picked the ball up and then passed it and soon as Thorman received the ball he had three Leeds players surrounding him! I know Thorman was really poor last night but what do we expect him to do when he received passes like that - why he cannot pass it off the floor, like Houghton and 95% of the hookers in the league i dont know...

Admittedly he did improve in the 2nd half, and shook off the 'im too good for you lot' impression he gave in the 1st - but for a world class player and for some fans to say he was 'great in the circumstances' and 'well done for keeping going' just makes me think that a lot of FC fans are blinkered!...

The pack was good and well on top for a lot of the first half, easily laid a good enough platform. Unfortunately for us, we don't have any organisation to perform on so called platform.

Second positive, at least Thorman was effectively dropped for the remainder of the match and should now rot in the cooler currently occupied by Hall.

Our forwards were, once again, outplayed. They are all too similar and, until we ditch some of the workhorses for a few tackle busters, we'll always be mediocre at best.

Disagree, as ive said earlier in this thread, we often made 60 metres with the ball and limited Sinfield to having to kick on the last from inside his own 40. Individual erros and a lack of creativity cost us the game last night imo.

Berro was playing scrum half in the 2nd half, so why would he be carrying the ball from dummy half in the first place?!

I think he showed his class above the rest, the team at the moment isn't quick enough for him and if I were him I would be very frustrated.
