Wondered why Walshy didnt play for the 18's this year, good little player, silly boy and show the steps smaller and younger players will do to get bigger.

Again he is blaming supplements, the younger players really need educating in this area.

Stupid kid. The youngsters really need better educating if they think that they can get away with this type of thing. Don't know if this lad had a bright future or was a player we had high hopes for at the club, but his attitude is obviously not one we need at FC. Let's just hope he sorts himself out and learns his lesson.

I would have thought with that amount of time in the academy set ups of both teams he would have been fully conversant with the drugs rules.

there is too much pressure for these lads at 16 17 years old ,they are still growing , he like many get told they are not big enough , this lad bulked up but made the wrong choices he has paid the price and along with that his chance in pro rugby. this should be a lesson to all the other lads hoping to get a chance at academy level

He is going to be punished and it may effect his chances of ever making it in the game, however he is 18 years old and kids are very impressionable at that age, he has made a silly silly mistakes and will pay the price...but life ban ffs!!

In general i have no time or sympathy for drug cheats. However, to put yourself in the shoes of a teenager who has just been released from a club and is looking to find "an edge" at his new club, the temptation must be there.
In saying that, he was totally mis-guided but i really hope that the RFL try to give him some guidence and that BOTH of the clubs in the city offer assistance going forward rather than turning their backs on him.

I dont care when he started taking them. I care that a teenager felt the need to take them. Nothing to do with spin. Not everything is Hull versus Rovers mate.

Not really. Just going by when he tested positive thats all. I dont know how stringent the testing is at Academy level anymore so it could be concievable that he was taking them for the previous 2 years at Rovers. Like i say, i'm not bothered where he first started taking them. It really isnt a point scoring excercise in my book.

It doesn't matter what club he was at when he started taking them, the most important thing is that he was caught before he potentially did himself some serious harm or even killed himself. As far as i am aware the stuff he tested positive to cannot be bought over the counter at a repitible place. All players are made fully aware of things they cannot use and that random testing takes place. This kid sadly choose to ignore the rules for whatever reason and now has to live with the consequences, neither Fc or Rovers can condone this.
