He came through under fantastic tutelage of two great pro's in Mini & Sika. Looked stong, ran some great lines and was being overhyped, as usual, about being a future club Captain. Just saying that if you've spent the last 6 seasons primarily defending in a turd team, then maybe we ain't got to see the best of him.

I thought that Smith would eventually sort us out and supported him throughout given his previous successes. What I have heard since has surprised me especially the limited fitness training. Plus I think he became more eccentric. As we do with most new coaches we big them up. However, JC has done simple no talent necessary things like getting players fit. Man management seems good and he has a reputation for having teams who can defend which to me is the essence of winning rugby league.
