Wonderful game last night, Wigan and Leigh in an almost perfect defensive masterclass, really enjoyed this, a referee at last who allowed the teams to play, a shame about the glitch with the clock in golden point. Hope mr Kendall our regular ref for some reason, can emulate last nights official, and both teams can play the game without the usual melee, and perpetual interference. Well played both teams last night, and good luck in France boys watching from the sofa.

30 years old and on a Thursday to Sunday trip from half way on Hessle Road (how much did we drink on those trips) felt a real sense that we were robbed and watched it back so many times since and we were. But it was certainly a sombre old night in the Prince of Wales in Drewery lane!

Fash v Rovers (2024) was Fash being totally petulant looking for a fight, so his own fault. Griffen v Sts in the Cup ( 2023) although frustrating, was Griffen’s fault, he should have just kept his mouth shut and gone off for HT. Gale v Sts (2023) was a careless kick and followed by trying to pick Lomax up. So we can’t blame Kendall for any of those. Can’t remember the other incidents. However, a bit of perspective is sometimes a good thing. If any of the above cards had happened in during other teams’ matches I doubt we would have disagreed with the decision.
