Some sad reports out that Salford's plight is worsening. Don't think their imminent warm weather training departure will Garner sympathy with fellow clubs. It all adds up. We wouldn't have released Abdull without an immediate turnaround. Feel it for Salford.

It was always a risk given his injury record but let’s not forget it didn’t seem to stop us chasing other halfback targets it’s not like we put all our eggs in that basket, we announced Abdul way before we went for Lam and Sailor etc. It’s just desperately unlucky for Jordan, but if that’s the case you’d imagine they might be insurance and stuff that also might come into play. It does put us in an awkward situation though having to wait on what might or might not happen with Salfords finances and a player that might not fancy the move anyway dictating if we start the season a playmaker down. I’m sure the Cust signing was likely made with an eye on the Abdul situation also.
