Also had a mean sidestep and was as brave as they come.
Didn’t know him personally but saw him at many games after he retired.

This is so sad. I remember George playing fullback for us in the 70's, great tackler, nice guy too; he signed my shirt for me as a kid. RIP George and sincere condolences to all his friends and family.
