Quote ="moving on..."A couple of years ago people were moaning that referees were all cop outs and couldn't make a decision for themselves. So they brought in a rule... The referee HAS to make an on field decision as to what he's seen or thinks. In this case Thaler sent it up as a 'no try'. The video Ref has to have 100% conclusive evidence that the ball is on the ground legally for it to be turned over. The replays didn't show 100% conclusive evidence so the decision stays with the on field referee's decision.
The Same with Tierney's Try in the corner against Wire. His hand looked to be in touch but there was not enough 100% evidence to contradict the on field decision. If That was sent up as a no try it probably would have been chalked off.
What do people want? We moan about Referees having more responsibility.... well this is what you get. It's sport, shizznizz happens. Christ, God forbid Warrington might get the rub of the green against Saints, They've been getting the rub over us for the last 20 years near enough.'"
the problem is we all saw tierneys hand on the line and the ball grounded by the saints player on the line nobody was guessing, mr magoo even saw it, surely we can get video decisions correct supporters always think their beloved team are hard done by with onside/offside, forwards passes etc but would like to think they even themselves out overall but semis/finals/ relegation matches its a lot harder to take
