"We've been aware of the situation for a number of weeks now and it has been a distraction for Jordan.
"Sadly, he received bad news this week and we felt it was right to grant him leave to return to Australia to be with his close family.
"By coincidence, his sister is also getting married this week, so it is a good opportunity for Jordan to spend some time with his family and come back to Hull in a few days time refocused on his rugby.
