Great Diary again Wilf, Loved your Look back at Super Taff, Great Player. You mention buying your New pass a week before Fridays game, we went into the Club shop after Fridays game and brought our, must be mad and need shooting
I must admit to wanting Catalans to win so I didn't have to drag myself to the KC again. I definitely did not want to see another defeat at home to those from across the river.
Last Friday I watched the game from the comfort of a box but like on many occasions this year my generous host and I where the only ones in the 2nd half sat watching the game, the other guests, embarrassingly, did not return to their seats and preferred to watch the tv instead. This is now unfortunately a familiar pattern and many corporate sponsors are struggling to get guests to attend games because of the product on display !!
Life's never easy with FC is it Wilf? I came away on Friday feeling so despondent and then I watched our friend Scott Dureau give us a lifeline and felt a little bit better. Having got what we wanted, ie a home game against Cats rather than Rovers, we've at least got half a chance of going a little further.
Like you I'll be there on Friday, having bought my pass for next year (in the hope that perhaps 2014 will be the year when we actually achieve something).
A great read as ever and lets hope that next week will be an easier diary for you to write.
well at least the diary is consistently good,I must admit after Wembley, and last Friday I was stuggling to get any enthusiasm to go to the cats game (and I don't like feeling that way) but after my Monday morning diary fix,I will go get our tickets this afternoon!! they might just redeem themselves and give us something to shout about, heres hoping anyway
Thanks for the effort this week Wilf, it's hard work being a Hull fan, why do the players make it difficult for us - it's not the dobbins or any other team we support our club because of the history, the impact on our daily lives, it's what we do and for a lot of us it's what we have done for years, you go to work then you go to a game. I no longer complain, when I witness a bad performance it's like a member of my family has let me down and I wait for an improvement in behaviour.
I think that's why I still do it
