Off the top of my head from players that have played or are playing centre in SL, I'd rather have Goulding, Jones, Soliola, Atkins, Bridge, Evans, Ratchford, Watkins, Moon, Ablett, Cudjoe, Millard, Menzies, Duport, Shenton, Carney, Collis, Mellars, Marsh & Lulia.

IMO given the chance Rich Whiting would be our best centre from our current squad. Yeaman to me is nowhere near skilful enough to be a top class centre. There's probably plenty of back rowers who could arguably play centre and provide the same skills. His defence is usually solid but this season even that has been very suspect. Hopefully when he's back from injury he can turn that around but longer term I'd ideally like to see him eased out if the team/squad.

But this thread was about a player's injury...and you HATE player bashing. We won 52-0 at the weekend and you thought the thing we needed this week was a 'let's wish Yeamo injury thread'. Brilliant!!! This club doesn't need 'fans' like you and I've wasted enough time on you already. This club has a lot of passionate and loyal fans but unfortunately it also has some complete morons. I'd be interested in which posts on this thread constitute 'player bashing'. Or does any mention of a weakness in a players game count?

As for folk who say they're just happy for a player to turn up and give 100% - I guess I must have imagined all the complaints about our lack of success over the last few years.

i get your point well and clear in what i said and it was out of order yes but what i meant was something different but u only see what i wrote and in terms of player bashing people are just stating a players weaknesses but some fans are happy to accept average to shizen and that's my point. im 100% behind our team no matter what home and away and i look at what needs fixing and that centre position needs improving does it not??? or can you not see that and just think because we won 52-0 against a very poor cas team and scored off all of there mistakes that every things fine and we are world beaters now?
like i say totally agree with your point but i am not been harsh to yeamo just judging his performance and there not good enough at the moment no one can argue with that!!!

Not every centre has the ability to put his winger away...we was blessed when we had the panther,as for Yeaman...yes,not great with ball in hand and will not step around a player with a side-step but he is deceiptively quick,strong taking ball up and a handfull nr the line,runs good angles and his defence is arguabley the best centre defence in SL.I dont think anyone had picked up on the fact that Manu has now gone and the chances just arent coming down that side and sides maybe paying to much attention to the fact that we Was a left hand side attack.We only have 3 centres in the 1st team squad and Yeaman is the best of them.
