| Another great read but I don't know about Arthur Keegan heading for relative obscurity after 1980. He was a very good commentator on Radio Leeds for a number of years. So good that I remember him been talked of as a favourite to replace Eddie Waring. His downfall was probably that he was too good, Ray French suited the BBC agenda as an RL presenter much better.

| Thanks for my weekly fix Wilf. How great it was to read about dear old Arthur Keegan. This guy to me was the fiercest tackler in Rugby League. I can imagine opposition players quaking in their boots at the thought of Arthur putting them into the threepenny stand. Whereas Arthur was probably one of the best signings we ever made, I notice you also mention Pin McMillan, who I would think is probably one of the worst. Even as a youngster I could tell this guy would never be good enough for our team.
As you say its been a rare old season, but I think we can all look forward with great optimism to next year. Looking forward to catching up with you at the book launch.

| Too young to remember Arthur, but I do appreciate the skills of a good fullback. We have had some great ones over the years, for me the greatest of my era was the Crayfish himself Gary Kemble. What a player AK must have been for you (and others that saw him play) to hold him in such high esteem.
Great read as usual Wilf, thanks.
