Its OK going on about been fitter now a days but when you think of it before, they guys played in all sorts of weather and we played Wednesday evening and Sunday afternoon.

Would they be able to manage 2 games a week now?

Then I think you can compare them. We didnt have the chance to play summer rugby and there is a lot of difference weather wise. The overseas players wouldnt be able to play in that sort of weather for long.

Thats my opinion.

Didn't we have the Hardaker cup in the 70's on Christmas day ?.

Plus work full-time all week..and train on a night.

Thats right Bet, it was bl00dy hard work then.

If they could play full time rugby then, I think we would have had some brilliant players just like we have now.

Thats why I dont think you can compare the players now to the 70s and 80s.
