Quote ="Mild mannered Janitor"Not sure to be honest, but in the early months of our season when the ground is soft I can see the footy lot moaning if they had to play the day after we had.
My point was, the survey is a convenient way to say its the fans who have decided. I found this odd when the survey hadn't been completed.
I don't doubt AP's business awareness, but I can't help but thinking that corporate revenue will take a hit. I think most private box holders will struggle to attract clients to attend anything on a Sunday.
There is also the short turn around we will have for games against the top teams (Leeds, Wigan and St's) who are all Friday night homers.
Personally I would have thought it sensible to see the fixture list and apportion the games when it best suits the team so to reduce the number of short turn arounds we have. A split of Friday, Saturdays and Sundays could have been an option (Fridays for any Yorkshire club with fans close enought to travel, Saturdays mid / late afternoont for the likes of Quins and Les Cats) Sundays for Lancashire clubs giving ample travel time).'"
Possibly, but that is assuming we'll play them all away the round after a home game which is not necessarily the case. We might play, say, Wigan away the week after Leeds away.
You could also argue that when we play Warrington at home we'll have two extra days turnaround should we be playing away the Friday before whereas they'd be at home on the Sunday before.
