Quote ="WormInHand"I've never heard anything as shameful as the "respect" from your lot today. I certainly don't think it does "always" happen. You've given a poor example, as well, as the vast majority of Hull fans still regard and hold Briscoe in great esteem for his sevices to us. No injury has ever been celebrated at Hull in recent memory, unless you can provide evidence otherwise?'"
I'm not sure if you kept the said game on your Sky +, but the camera picked up certain Hull fans waving him (Briscoe) off the pitch. And I'm not sure it was because they hold him still in such high regards. As said, it happens, it's not right, but it does.
Also, I know you said in recent memory, but some Hull fans still rejoice to this day in Millward having his jaw broken at Wembley and I'm certain Andy Dannat was held in a smilair high regard to Briscoe after he 'sorted out' Hanley back in the day. Was that a broken jaw if my memory is correct?
