I don't think many people are claiming that JR not being there on Friday affected the result, the reason it is being mentioned so much is because, in terms of results, the club is in crisis. Therefore, since a lot of people think that the problems run deeper than just daft lad in the dugout, the Chief Exec not attending a home game so he can go on a jolly is seen to be symptomatic of those higher problems, because it suggests apathy and a lack of professionalism.
