If our performances didn't improve then we wouldn't have won more. Unless you mean something different by performances than how well we played?
No our performances continued to be poor for the majority of the time. however when you add players like Fitz/Meley etc then you are bound to improve over the course of a season.

I don't need to think anything. Results and final finishing position prove it. Unless we go back to my first suggestion and you claim everyone else played worse while we stood still.
We won more of the close games last season, that was the only difference. The fact we signed players like Fitz and Meley gave us that slight advantage in those close games.
