If what we think we know is true, then he has to go.
He has had too many chances and the club cannot be held to ransom. The rest of the dressing room would surely be p*ssed off with him. Richard Horne comes in a for a lot of criticism on here but last season he was patched up and put on the pitch when he really should have been sat in the stands. Tansey was sat in the stands because of his own ill discipline and stupidity and put undue pressure on his coach and teammates. It's easy to make excuses saying that he's young, etc. but at the end of the day he is a fully grown adult who is very well rewarded for what he does.
I presume the delay is due to the club ensuring that due process is carried out; nowadays terminating somebodies contract is not straightforward. Any mistake on the employers part would be deemed as unfair dismissal which can be expensive.
