You have to ask yourself, what are Hulls ambitions? None of the big 4 clubs would have taken long so why did Hull? He wouldnt have come cheap either.
Saints have a rule that when you hit 30, you get offered a one year deal max on reduced wages. No room for sentiment.
I think for Hull to kick on, they have to try and fill the spine positions (1,6,7,9,13) with good quality players who arent comming to the end of their careers and players who wont just play for a season or two before moving on. Berrigan was a fantastic signing, but you lack the quality in the other positions.
Look at the successful teams and they always have stability, year on year in these positions.
Whats the academy like at hull? Any startlets waiting in the wings to fill these key positions?
