Dowes has had a poor second half to this season, in fact he's getting knocked backwards in the tackle quite severely these days. Maybe its a loss in form, maybe the game is now too fast for him or maybe the years are taking their toll. He's a long way behind O'Meley and Moa. Its a shame because he's one of the few FC players with a good injury record, and I've never heard anything bad about him off the field. If we've got someone better lined up, then good luck Ewan and thanks for Cardiff
It's the International phonetic alphabet spelling I think; so people who use a different alphabet (so wouldn't recognise jur-nee-mun) can make the sound of the word.
