Great read once again Wilf. A few of us were throwing names around for player of the season, Danny's heroics with the boot have put him right up there. It would be so easy to take him for granted.

The answers to this weeks Refereeing questions are as follows

The answer to to the first one is B - the tackling player should have been binned as late challenge on the kicker is mandatory sin bin - it would be red if it was high or used the elbow.

The sceanrio in the second one is actually after a tackle is complete. EG. A player is tackled half a metre in from touch. Ref calls held. In the act of standing up, the ball carrier steps into touch, this would not be flagged and a play the ball would be allowed. One of those anomalies of the rules, but all the same would no doubt have the masses yelling at the touch judge to stick his flag up.
