While im not suggesting we change a winning team at the moment, Tansey is playing as a fullback when we are defending but is pretty much playing as a stand off when we have the ball anyway, from what I can see he is playing more of the role a player named at 6 traditionally would then Washy anyway, so to slot Whiting in at fullback and keep Tansey playing the role he is now with ball in hand would not disrupt the team.
As each season goes on, in super league the positions on a teamsheet or numbers on a shirt mean less and less and the coaches just try and get the edge whatever way the can, Agar has always tried to use an extra pivot in the backline so he can play an extra "middle type" player instead of a loose forward, ie Radford first and Fitz this year and even Burnett has played this role this year.
