Quote ="EXPRO"But as with all professional sports we all have no idea where we will end up have we?? its like saying i wont buy a lottery ticket this week because i know I wont win , however the reality is that you dont know!!
as you correctly say it counts for little at present however we ARE still there mid tabled ish with a whole host of players to come back over the next three weeks or so all ready for a big push on and up in time for the playoffs ... when it DOES count for diddly squat .
remember we have nearly an international team sat injured.. no team can perform under that cloud'"
An international team? Is that a literal statement in that the players were born in more than one country? You can't be saying that we have a team of international quality , can you? A team that could live with the Aussies? Some of our "Internationals" may once have played at that level but don't anymore or may aspire to do that in the future ( Briscoe) but not yet. We have one current International class player in Manu. I get sick of these terms that are trotted out by the media , stars and internationals. Professional players being well paid and for the most part underperforming under a poor coaching set up is what we have. I also think that the overall standard of Superleague has gone backwards over the last two or three seasons which perhaps also disguises our decline somewhat during that same period.
