Will be a very tough game tomorrow, we have been poor in the 1st half most of the season but defense has kept us in it then we have improved second half, we have more quality in the backs and pace which could be the difference. Against Salford it was 4-2 and we couldn't keep hold of a ball then tyrer Tried to kick it past atkins put it straight into his hands and he went 100metres which woke us up. Haven't we been losing at half time in the last 3 years then come back to win??
Warrington coach Tony Smith is warning his side to be wary of Hull FC’s thirty-somethings as the high-flying Wolves prepare for a testing trip to the KC Stadium on Easter Monday.
Smith’s men did the double over Hull last year but the addition of former St Helens scrum half Sean Long, 33, and ex-Australian Test forward Craig Fitzgibbon, 32, has helped transform the Black and Whites from strugglers to Engage Super League Grand Final contenders.
“They’ve got a lot more experience,” said Smith, who has also been impressed by the impact made by tough Australian prop Mark O’Meley.
“They’ve a lot more leaders in their ranks this year, a bit more beef up front and a general at half-back. They will be tough to beat. They don’t give you much; you’ve got to earn it all.”
While Smith ponders whether to recall veteran half-back Lee Briers, Hull boss Richard Agar looks set to bring in Jordan Turner, Mike Burnett, Sam Moa and Danny Washbrook following a bruising derby win over Hull KR.
“We have a lot of very good players that haven’t been in the squad and are likely to get their chance,” he said. “We’re lucky that we have a squad big enough to be able to leave people out
