His one on one with Robinson was first class. As a fullback with 2+ men running at you with ball in hand, there is only so much you can do in that position. The press have reported that Robinson bummed the opportunity but I think Tansey did enough to fool Robinson into thinking he was going for the support player then at last second made himself as big as possible (much like goalkeeper's do in football) and surged towards the ball carrier cutting down his decision making and execution time.
Also what a nice feeling it is not to be bricking it when the opposition put a high kick up. Even nicer feeling I imagine if your one of the other 12 players who have just defended a set.
Thought behind Fitzgibbon he was our best player at the weekend, took the ball in well and looks dangerous everytime he has space, and his positional play is Fantastic
If he carrys it on for the full season he might not be far off a International shirt
Biggest plus for me was the way he was constantly on the shoulder of the ball carrier. If our forwards start offloading the ball in the tackle a bit more he will score plenty of trys.
