Threepenny lost much of it's magic when the capacity was cut (I'm talking before the old stand was demolished). We've often had a far better atmosphere at the KC than in the last few years at The Boulevard.
I just fail to see how a "singing block" works. People will sing if they want to or not as the case may be. I find the idea a bit embarrassing to be honest.'"
I disagree, if you look in football many of them have "unofficial" singing blocks. For example places like QPR and Notts forest have the X (not sure what letter) block were people will go and start the singing, which usually leads to the rest of the ground singing. Threepenney may have gone down pan towards the end but it certainley got more people singing and learning the songs. The KC atmosphere is rubbish , ok it may be louder at times but thats just people making any old noise, old faithful is an embarrassment when sung now and the only song we can finish is come on you hull.
Untill we as fans get our acts together and start getting behind the team vocally as we use to the KC will not fruitate as a fortress. Lets be honest if we go 6-0 down the place becomes a morgue, not everyone has the confidence to just get up in the middle of nowhere and start singing on there own. Thats why we are better at away games because everyone is grouped together and usually people will join in, I don't believe the answer is people will sing if they want to.
