With all the injuries we've had over the past couple of seasons, I have personally felt that Motu's was the most significant for the club. A strange view perhaps, but when you consider the number of positions he can cover, we may well have been left with far fewer holes in the first team. The same goes I think for Richard Whiting. If a couple of years ago when things were really bad with injuries we'd had a fit motu and a fit Whiting, we may not have been in an injury 'crisis' at all.
As for his future, I really hope he gets another SL club. Given the lack of available players at the moment, and the fact that he would be fine on the visa front, I can't see why Crusaders don't go for him. They have a pretty skinny squad and the clock is ticking, he could over positions there as he did for us.
