I was 10 at the time I was caught up in the thick of it with my best mate Rob Scholes we had captured some of the action on our iphones we just got instead of an easter eggs I will dig it out and upload on to utube, with the the Jams bricks n mortar as backing music, my favorite tune of the time. Scholesy got hit by a brick, he's not been the same since!!!!!!!!!!!
Quote="JB Down Under"I was 11 and in the rovers end. Got hit above the eye by a coin and it split my eye brow open. Two women in FC gear took pity on me and cleaned me up and gave me a pound note!
Funny because I also got hit by a coin at Elland Road at the Rovers CC semi final. What is it with me and flying coins?

You just attract money - two coins and a pound note from nowhere! I hope you invested it all well.
I was almost 12 at the time and I was stood with my parents in the middle of the Threepenny stand. I was shocked at what i saw that day. It was strange to see adults acting with such anger towards each other. I remember seeing a female aged late teens been carried out of the stand covered in blood and bearly consious. Her Hull shirt looked black with red irregular hoops because of the blood. This incident spawned a song that Hull and Rovers sang for years.
On a lighter note, can anyone remember a few seasons later a derby match played at The Boulevard. It was a warm spring afternoon, the sun was beating down and the Boulevard pitch was bare due to a heavy winter. The centre of the pitch did not have a blade of grass on it, it was covered in sand. 10 minutes before kick off a Rovers supporter ran onto the pitch with a plastic carrier bag, he then started skipping around the half way line scattering grass cuttings he pulled from out of his carrier. Well funny and got a massive cheer from both sets of supporters.
