No I had only been there 3 days and thretened me that if I didnt take the greencore job you cut my dole money off



greencore is beyond a joke and it pays, just. Still not as much as dole or my last job. And its the reason I havent quit so I arnt in the dole queue



but those comments are true from my experiance there. and how is been told to go away for a few hours and have a few joints good for team work, confidence, self esteem, communication, assertiveness, equality, diversity, literacy, numeracy. first of all I dont do drugs and never will and second its illeagal.

from my experiance there i can agree that 99% of the people who are there are mindless idiots who refuse to work and half of them are smoking/drinking more than they should be on there breaks. all I can say is why is the government paying for people who refuse to go to work to go on a course to get a job, this isnt a dig on A4E but surly they would be better off spending the money on people who want to get back into work such as myself at the time.

Think you'll find he's a bit of an eco-warrior these days.

But seriously, what did he do for you when he actually NEEDED your votes at the next election. His constituancy is still one of the worst places to live in the developed world.

As my trade union leader he always commanded my respect and had a deep knowledge of the business which he used with great effect for the benefit of the membership.

He then seems to have lost the plot a bit like the large ( very large ) ex trade union leader from the East

I had mixed feelings watching this programme, one one hand these 'can't guarantee you hours' temporary jobs are crappy and aren't a career for anybody

but on the other hand there were several in there who just looked like complete wasters. There's only so much the government/society can do for people, and some of them blatantly didn't care what they were doing with their lives.

many people don't like the concept of making people 'work' for their benefits...but I disagree, there were several on the programme who I feel would like the opportunity to do something better than make paper planes for their benefits, and getting them into a regular work routine and out meeting people would help some of them.

It was also sad to see 'the immigrants' used as an excuse yet again...some of them simply can't handle the fact that some of the immigrants (despite having poorer english) are still more attractive to employers, because they're so determined they've actually moved countries to work and earn money. Rather than some of these who'd turn down a job if it was in their own back garden.
