If that's the plan for the season when Tansey is out or were short in the centres I would rather have Hall, a decent centre will run rings round him. Great second rower but never a centre

We can't. With Niklas, Tansey, and Horne out of the squad our options at centre and FB are extremely limited. Might have been worth drafting in one of the youngsters mind.

Cunningham or Briscoe

Not sure of the bench due to missing the start of the game due to Radio coverage but could have played Lyne< Briscoe or Cunningham.

Agar must have known about Tansey for the last few days.

I think that Whiting to FB, Briscoe to Centre, Lyne to the Wing would have been the best option, and the least messing the team around or playing people out of position.

Would have made much more sense to me to give Lyne another run and have a look at how Briscoe would go at centre.
