| ACT NOW Mr Glover while Brian Noble is still unemployed. Agar got the benefit of the doubt from me but last night was the last straw for me. Losing easily against a poor side like Cas is not acceptable, losing 36-0 to a very poor side like London is not acceptable. AGAR IS DONE !

Who's gonna pay up his 3 year contract ? Like it or not we're stuck with him unless AG has a few hundred thousand to pay him up. Can't see him doing that really can you ?

| I wasn't impressed with the appointment of Agar as head coach but to have to pay him off so early in his contract would be madness.

| Although my bubble has burst somewhat I am willing to reign in a tirade of negativity for a few weeks yet but... Come the halfway point in SL if we stand on 4 points from a possible 28 I will be absolutely livid and let it rip on here.
The team we have are capable of good performances and mid table and this is what gets me down. Essentially we have played dumb rugby.
The players need to look at one another and let each other know not one of them will let the other down on that field.

| Agar stays, get used to it. There's no way his contract will get bought out, it will cost wayyyy to much to get rid. Mr Elston has a lot to answer for, he HAD to sign Agar for 3 years because he was such hot property, clubs were falling over themselves for his signature. Or maybe it was because they are drinking buddies ? Elston was the only man that wanted him, make Elston put his hand in his pocket and pay him off.

| If we can't afford to sack this joker then we need to put pressure on Agar to quit. Make Belle Vue a very hostile place for him to be.

No hostility meant. Just describing how it was when the penny had dropped at Hull for everyone but him and his friends on the board.
Bit touchy, aren't you?

He probably had a little more belief he could turn it around at Hull with what could be described as a more professional set-up to work with. There hasn't been much to fuel his stubbornness at Wakey thus far! We have to be quick.
Who was the last Wakey coach to purely quit, out of interest?

| we never wanted him at hull when he got the job, and they way he took his backwards under his tenure was awful, for many hull fans it had become a chore to go watch because the brand of rugby was simply awful, same excuses everyweek, never improved any players and always stuck by his favourites
I HONESTLY FEEL FOR YOU GUYS BECAUSE HE IS A POOR COACH AND YOU WILL GO NOWHERE WITH HIM IN CHARGE, HIS TREATMENT OF YOUNSTERS IS APPALING, ONE OF OUR YOUNG HALF BACKS DANNY NICKLAS CAME OUT IN PRE SEASON AND SAID ITS GREAT UNDER THE NEW REGIME THAT I GET TO TRAIN IN MY NATURAL POSTION SOMETHING I HAVENT DONE FOR 2 YEARS, WHICH I FOUND AMAZING CONSIDERING THE INJURY RECORDS OF SEAN LONG, AND RICHARD HORNE,
oops sorry for the caps just realised

Not really, mate, your post just seemed the most quotable.
We've read all this Hull FC been-there-done-that-got-the-t-shirt stuff a zillion times since Agar was appointed. It's just getting tiresome, which is why I said - enjoy what you've got now, and what you may get in the future. We'll be OK... we've come through greater hardship.

Worrying thing is not that many Hull fans warned us about Kear. Even Cas told us there was nothing to fear.

But they still wanted him out.
Pearson did the right thing when he took over - new broom and all that. He got a top man for the job, and has the money to do that. We got an experienced coach with plenty to prove, who had to build a new team from scratch. We should at least give him a reasonable chance to do it.

It might not be us fans giving him the opportunity though and that is the scariest thought. I think in the cold reality it's just familiar patterns that are giving most fans that ominous feeling, especially those odd good performances (Les Cats/Widnes/Wire) that may give the delusion that we are more than capable.
It's a very clinical deja vu that has probably robbed us of a few good coaches since 2000. I'm guilty of falling for this anomaly of memory more than most. Perhaps because I crave 2004 to happen again so badly I've grown impossibly impatient.

| So can one of you explain why the performances against Widnes, Warrington and Catalan are all just flashes that are nothing to do with him yet London and Cas shows he us rubbish?
You are just picking out small episodes to prove your opinion.
Doesn't make you right.
I'd rather believe that he and the players are taking time to build a team from scratch. You don't just magic up s team that can compete with everybody else. It could be 2/3 of the season before it starts working.
Getting Noble is just a short term fix. I'd rather get Kear back if we are going down that line.
Let's support the club, the players and the coach when they need it.
It's easy to call yourself a supporter when everything is going right. If that's all you are capable of you need to be supporting the Rhinos. That's not what we are about.....in my opinion.

That's the problem, those performances give the impression we are it. Then when we play lesser teams and get thrashed it makes us think there is a severe problem away from the playing field. "How can our players become useless and disinterested overnight!!!???"
We've had bad days at the office in the past and after a brief phoenix from the flames it's been a downhill struggle until the coach has been inexorably axed. It's like there is a curse.
If we had played crap in every game thus far with the odd ray of sunshine in the last 3 games then I'd hazard a guess we'd all believe we are making slow progress.

I would expect his contract like most coaches will have some clauses in relating to performance so I doubt it would cost hundreds of thousands to get rid of him.

My take on it is, it's more to do with the fact that in the games we have won and those we have lost, there have been some constants, these being :-
(1) Poor marker defence allowing opposition easy yards from dummy half
(2) Failure to tackle round the legs allowing easy extra metres to be made
(3) Failure to move up in the defensive line and meet the opposition (stood waiting from them) thus making it harder to tackle them as they have built up momentum
(4) Inability to defend crossfield kicks
(5) Poor kicking game
(6) Strange use of the interchange bench
These factors have all contributed to us conceding over 30 points in 5 of our games, making it nigh on impossible to win them.
My frustration is that whilst up until the London game we did appear to be making some progress, these issues where still there and are factors which the coach should be addressing in training and/or replacing players who are unable to learn the lessons, with those who are performing well in the U20's. Agar seems to have done neither so far.
The last 2 performances have also seen an alarming dip in performance from a number of players as well as a distinct lack of the team spirit that has been evident previously. Again, the coaches job is to look at what reasons there are for the change in these areas and seek to address them. Unfortunately, I don't have any confidence that Agar is capable of doing so.
