| Big message is.
The quality of the squad is dependant on number of season tickets
Basically if your waiting to see who we sign or who we sell to buy your season ticket then you will see players sold
If you want to retain what we have then you have to get your season tickets, club 1873, foxy bingo
Chicken & egg scenario
But which one are you?!

| Quote ="Pudsey Cat"Basic premise
Sell more season tickets
Join foxy bingo
Join lottery
Kath hetherington is consultant CEO
Sam Tompkins sold for 750k
Rangi chase sold for 111k
Tim smith sold for 70k
Amor sold for 50k, Hudds rang up saying he wanted to sign for them but in reality he wanted to sign for saints
Main point. We still have a club in super league next season, agar signed new 3 yr deal and he is in aus looking for a half back.
Missed anything? Oh yeah, cost me a tenner to spend a penny!!!'"
Pretty much it.
The club will compete next season.
The budget is 1.1M based on 3k season ticket sales.
The contracted players are currently expected to stay (possibly excluding BenC,)
Anything over 3k season tickets will mean a bigger budget for players.
tell everyone you know to get a season ticket/join the 1873 lottery/join foxy bingo (code WTW) now!
1000+ season tickets so far, numbers still pretty low for lottery and bingo

| Glad macron are back supplying the kit they offer a good range of training gear that we lacked last season with FiTa + they supply half the football league and top euro RU clubs so they know what they're doing.

| MC has chosen the kit. Home is white. Perhaps expect something different for away, he says he'll take responsibility for it ...
says samples are decent quality and sizes.

| Quote ="RebelRebel"One piece of info missing from all this (seeing as how the Supporters' Trust was behind the event). Where does this leave the ST? Shares in the club?'"
The Trust have been working with Michael Carter on some plans around shares/ownership however things are still not quite finalised and it was decided that we didn't want to present details until we know exactly how it might work.
It was decided to carry on with the meeting anyway as there was obviously a huge amount of interest (judging by the number of people who turned up) and it gave Michael and Chris Brereton a chance to introduce themselves and provide some pieces of good news
Most of it has been covered here but we are assured that the club is alive and kicking.
We will have a club at the start of next season.
We will still have a club at the end of next season.
The quality of the team will depend on how much the people of Wakefield want it.
The club has set a playing budget worked out on selling 3000 season tickets. If they sell more then anything above the 3000 will go to supplement the playing budget.
At present a little over 1000 have renewed their season tickets so you can see what is needed.
Hopefully the Trust and the Club will be able to bring more details around investment/shares etc in the very near future

| Quote ="The Devil's Advocate"During the meeting was the question raised regarding the nightmare scenario?
By that I mean if the club, in its current guise, was to go belly up & the Administrators were appointed.
If someone came in last minute ala Glover, would those at the top table like to hazard a guess as to if season tickets would be honored ala Glover, under a new regime?
I suppose I could half answer my own question & say, some people are prepared to take a punt just to keep the club afloat. Many however will think twice about splashing out a reasonable amount of money, when there’s no guarantee of seeing a single game for it!'"
Michael Carter assured us that this is not a scenario that will happen - the club will be here for next season, but the quality of the team we can field is dependent on supporters buying season tickets.
I got the impression that administration would mean that the security that Michael and Chris Brereton have put up to secure the loan from the RFL (ie their houses) would be lost. Michael and Chris have no intention of losing their houses.
People hanging back on renewing season tickets to see who will stay and who will be sold are likely to be the cause of players having to be sold. Chicken and egg - wait and see and lose players, show some faith and renew and we can retain and add to the currently contracted players.

| So how many season tickets exactly have been sold? It was apparently 1140 a month ago and i've read that a few have renewed since? Will everything thats happened since mid august I would be seriously worried that we are not going to get near the 3000, let alone above that to improve the team. The floating fans, the ones who jumped on board the cheap tickets, aren't going to buy them at full price on the back of a reduced quality playing roster. I fear for our future.

This is why i can't believe why so many people were hesitant in buying season tickets.
Someone posted about buying cheap tickets then selling players. This happened because not enough people took up the offer due to negativity.
We are now in the run up to Christmas, the shat has hit the fan and people are now prepared to do that bit extra for the club.
Chicken or egg? Vicious circle?
It was £150, you would pay that for a family of 4 for 1 game at Leeds Utd.

Still in favour of the shop being in the city centre, gives us a presence and it must make it easier to sell tickets rather than having to traipse to Belle Vue. If they employed too many staff to run it in the past, that doesn't mean the idea is a failure, just the execution.

I reckon most fans normally renew their season tickets round Christmas time, when they've managed to save a few bob after paying for their summer hols. It's part of the cycle of life. Couple of quid a week for the lottery may be in it, though.

| I have to say the negativity from a few of the audience was shocking. The old man at the back who was getting told to shut up being the worst. I came away thinking things will be tough but the future could be great if the supporters back the new board to the hilt. Juniors starting to have structure and will be a long term pay off, Newmarket is really close but will be made so much easier if we are in SL and the guy won't let the club go bust as there are 2 houses riding on it.

| Well, what a great night.
It just shows that honesty really is the best policy. The atmosphere and conversations before the meeting were very negative. However, it was the complete opposite on the way out. MC is a very good friend of mine and has been for nearly 20 years. What I told my mates going into tonight's meeting would be the fact that he won't hold back - no matter how bleak - we will get the truth and I think all of those who attended tonight will agree that's exactly what we got. Every question was answered fully and honestly. We now know exactly where we stand and it's down to us as loyal supporters to back the new board as much as we possibly can. They are working tirelessly on trying to attract new investors, sponsors and other cost cutting exercises. What they need from us is our continued support and from the numbers there tonight it's obvious what this club means to us.
The areas where we all need to pull together have already been highlighted on this thread so come on everyone. There was a real buzz about the place tonight so lets keep it going.
We have the right people in charge - it's down to us to back them and make this work.

Thats what worries me, i would have expected at least double that by now. If they wait and see til xmas to renew then we will have sold more players by then to pay the bills. Then they probably won't bother. Its that vicious circle again. I've a feeling some of the 'newbies' were there for a good time, not a long time. Its going to take some innovative marketing to get the all to sign back up, and sign up now.
